The Dreamcatcher

About the composition

The composition’s title is inspired by the dreamcatcher as used by the Native American Ojibwa tribe. They believed that the dreamcatchers would protect children from bad dreams. The composition describes this process through the music, but is at the same time also a metaphor for the human development until the end of the adolescence: the transformation into an individual that is able to pursue its own dreams.
